MALE ARRESTED FOR DRUGS AND DRIVING OFFENCES

On 26/09/2025 at around 22:30 officers stopped a red Citroen DS3 at Ventura Retail Park following concerns regarding their manner of driving.

Upon speaking with the driver officers could smell cannabis and a subsequent roadside drugs swipe was conducted which tested positive for cannabis.

Officers searched the vehicle and a large quantity of cannabis was found. Cannabis and a large amount of cash were also found in the driver's possession. 

Checks on the vehicle showed that is was also being driven without insurance.

The 26 year old male driver, from Tamworth, was arrested for possession with intent to supply a class B drug, driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs and driving without insurance.

The vehicle was seized for no insurance.

He has since been released under investigation.
